Answers to Common Questions

Are you thinking about giving Nalu Chiropractic a try? We understand that you may have some questions for us before committing our practice. Below are some of the most common ones we are asked.

Once I go to a chiropractor, will I always have to go?

No. It is up to you how often you want to go. After experiencing the benefits of chiropractic care, however, many people choose to make it a part of their lifestyle.

We are a pressure-free practice. What you want to get out of chiropractic care is up to you.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

No. Chiropractic adjustments do not hurt. However, while it does not happen often, slight soreness can occur if you have been misaligned for an extended period.

Healing is not universal. As results vary from person to person, we cannot guarantee exactly how you might feel following your appointment. Rest assured, Dr. Sura performs each chiropractic adjustment as gently as possible.

Can chiropractic care cure everything?

Chiropractic care is not meant to cure anything. It is intended to clear the nervous system of stress and allow the body to function better. Even more importantly, chiropractic care is meant to connect you to your body’s innate power to heal.

Why would I have my newborn or young child adjusted?

Babies go through a great deal of twisting and turning while traveling through the birth canal. This trauma often results in poor alignment. Similarly, kids are hard on their bodies. The excitement of daily life tends to lead to misalignments.

With the help of the gentlest chiropractic adjustments, infants and children grow into happy, healthy adults.

Do I need a referral from my physician to begin care?

No. You can join our practice today at your own free will.

Will I get adjusted on my first visit?

Except for pregnant women and young children, most people will not get adjusted on their first visit.

Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

Yes. Many of our practice members have previously undergone back surgery. We are happy to help those who need further assistance.
